Event: Tertiary ICT Conference 2022

The 38th Annual Tertiary ICT Conference is co-hosted by Auckland University of Technology - Te Wānanga Aronui o Tāmaki Makaurau (AUT) and Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland and will be held in the award-winning Sir Paul Reeves Building at AUT’s city campus.  

The theme for this year’s event is Educate. Transform. Connect.

Educate - Upgrading your skills and increasing your knowledge.

Transform - Embracing the continuous change in the world of digital transformation.

Connect - Connecting with people, skills and trends to shape the future.

The Tertiary ICT Conference is also an opportunity to meet others in the sector, socialise, make new connections and reconnect with peers in the tertiary education sector.

As part of the Tertiary ICT Conference the event will host a one day Women in Technology event on the Wednesday 7th September. Yeshaswini Ramesh, REANNZ Manager - Network Operations, will be participating in a panel discussion with students, alumni, industry and IT leaders to discuss "why we all need to take a leap of faith to continue closing the technology gender gap".

Aaron Murrihy, Technical Lead – Networks, will be presenting on Making the internet safer with MANRS on Wednesday 7th September at 11:00 am. MANRS (Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security) is an Internet Society initiative that improves the security and reliability of the global Internet routing system, based on collaboration among participants and shared responsibility for the Internet infrastructure.
