Request for proposals: Packet hardware

REANNZ has released a request for proposals seeking a supplier of packet hardware to terminate inter and intra-regional connectivity, last mile services for the research and education community, and to build logical network services to enable that community to participate locally and globally. This is the next stage of the National Network Strategic Review, a programme of work that REANNZ is undertaking to ensure that the network remains well equipped to support the next generation of research, innovation and education activity.

REANNZ is seeking a provider that has a reputation as an innovative provider of stable, secure and robust packet hardware, that is capable of interoperation with our current network and has a commitment to continuing research and development on that hardware line.

This is an opportunity to be part of the success of New Zealand’s research, education and innovation sectors enabling them to participate both the nationally and internationally. The network is a pillar for supporting this community as well as the provision of advice and technical solutions.
